About

I’ve been doing this here for ten years.

Most of that time I spent training and coaching other agents. I’m back to working directly with buyers and sellers because that’s the part of this job I’m best at and the part that actually helps people.

How I work

I’ll tell you what I actually think. If a house is a bad deal, or the timing is wrong, or you’d be better off staying put and doing the kitchen instead — I’ll say so. That costs me commissions sometimes. It also means when I tell you a house is worth moving on, you can believe me.

What I do

  • Buyers. From the first “we’re thinking about it” conversation through closing. Including the ones that take two years.
  • Sellers. Pricing, prep, photography, negotiation. What to fix and what to leave alone.
  • People moving here. The single biggest thing I can do for someone relocating is save them from committing to the wrong town before they understand the trade-offs.

Where I work

I’m based in the Rochester area and work the east side of Monroe County most heavily — Perinton, Penfield, Pittsford — along with the surrounding towns and the northern Finger Lakes. If you’re looking somewhere I don’t know well, I’ll tell you that and help you find someone who does.

What I won’t do

  • Tell you a neighborhood is “good” or “bad.” That’s not a real estate agent’s call to make, and under fair housing law it isn’t one I’m permitted to make. I’ll give you facts, data, and sources so you can decide for yourself.
  • Predict what the market will do. Nobody knows.
  • Hand you off to an assistant after the first call.
  • Sell, share, or trade your contact information.
